Payroll Specialist - HR Service Partners

Overview:

HR Service Partners is on the hunt for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to become a pivotal player within our Payroll Department. The ideal candidate will have a knack for attention to detail, boast excellent computer proficiency, and carry significant experience in payroll processing. As a Payroll Specialist, you will manage comprehensive aspects of payroll processing, encompassing both historical and new client data, and generating pertinent reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company payroll computations are compliant with government regulations.
  • Facilitate timely and coordinated payroll processing for 60 clients on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze, collect, and input data for new client setups.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries from clients, staff, and site employees.
  • Forge strong inter-departmental collaborations to meet overarching company objectives.
  • Continually evaluate and refine department processes, focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prioritize work to meet project deadlines effectively.
  • Champion the design and execution of innovative procedures to optimize department workflows.
  • Aid the Payroll Director in special project executions and workflow enhancements.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff, ensuring up-to-date training materials.
  • Vigilantly monitor payroll records to maintain consistent compliance standards.
  • Implement changes to pay and tax statuses as required.
  • Compile necessary payroll reports for review.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in payroll processing
  • Solid foundation in basic mathematical principles.
  • Prior experience working with payroll software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • PEO Experience 
  • Experience with third party payroll processor.
  • Strong aptitude for customer service.
  • High accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Bilingual capabilities, especially Spanish, would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience dealing with historical data is a plus.
  • Adeptness in skills data curation.
